本次講座摘要：

Chronic kidney disease (CKD) affects up to 10–16% of the population, and it is associated with adverse clinical outcomes. Of note, as patients enter advanced CKD stages, the risks of morbidity, mortality and costs are markedly increased. Since there are many convincing similarities between the uremic state and aging, we hypothesized that immune dysfunction may play an important role in the unfavorable prognosis among CKD patients. Thus, I would like to review the immune dysfunction in CKD, focusing on the role of uremic toxins.
